I wonder if anyone else got that message, or if I just play too much!

can someone find out what they say after 24hrs then 50hrs then 100hrs or leave the game running for a week? I'd like to find out what messages Anet puts in it.

"You have been playing for 100hrs, please get laid"

Default You've been playing for...

Got a message in while in Fissure yesterday:
"You've ben playing for 3 hours now, maybe you should take a break" (or something like that)

Thought it to be rather helarious, but also a smart move from A-net. Some people just don't know when to quit. Hey, I'm one of them.

I didn't read everything so I don't know if someone has explained it yet, but I like to show off my knowledge so I'll tell you the most likely reason why ANet implimented this:

People in Korea/China/Japan were dying in internet cafes because they had been playing so long. As a result, one of the governments implimented a law that dictated how long at a time people could spend on a computer.
ANet obviously cares enough for their players to impliment this feature so people know when their time is up.

You are correct about the lawsuit. Recently i believe a group has formed that now sues computer companies if they know a core base of their player are on for longer then 3 hours. Guildwars can be sued if the group can first win against EQ2 which is who they are looking to pusue now. If for arugments sake EQ2 looses the lawsuit GW and WoW would be easy pickings. So GW is setting up A failsafe that says to a reasonable man hello we want you to take a break please

Alot of people do die in internet cafes in asia. Not meaning to be stereotypical but that is true. I think 100+ a year i cant remember might be less but 1 person is a lot of potential for this world to lose

'You have been playing for five hours. Please take a break.'
'You have been playing for ten hours. We strongly recommend you take a break.'
'You have been playing for 48 hours. Your health is in danger.'
'He had been playing for 2 weeks. We strongly recommend you bury him with his FoW Armor and IDS.'

lol be glad that you dont have the Civilization feature. Rofl theyve got an alarm clock there so you might remember to eat, sleep, and maybe go to work. I heard that there was some guy in Korea who sat down for 48 hours in front of StarCraft and his heart just gave out. Only 1 thing I can say to that = stupid

Um... what the f*** is their problem?

Isn't it my own business how much I play the game? Why should anet get sued for it?

At the 24 hour mark, you get disconnected automatically.

I was chatting with someone in my friendslist and then suddenly he told me he couldn't reply to what I said. Aparently I was offline. I checked my friendslist to see what was going on and it said: "you are disconnected from the friends server, please reconnect by clicking the thing below" (something like that)

I wanted to tell others what just happened but then my entire screen became greyer and I got a message telling me that my login had expired and that I had to login again. It showed a small window with logininformation.

This happened right on the 24hour mark of me being online.

I'm going to wait and see if it says "you have been playing for 25 hours" soon.
If it starts from 1 again then eh , meh..
